BRANCH CHIEF – INSTRUCTOR COORDINATOR (BC-QPI)

 

The Branch Chef – Instructor Coordinator will administer Q Directorate’s roster of qualified instructors for emergency management.  In addition to these general duties, the Branch Chef assists, represents, and acts on behalf of the Division Chief as and when required.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and administer a roster of qualified instructors to support Auxiliary emergency management ICS training requirements.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the DVC

Skills required:

  • Advanced ICS (300/400/339) Instructor qualification (issued by USCG or FEMA) is required.  Completing advanced ICS courses and relevant experience is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the USCG & Auxiliary organization structure and programs, administration, and operations at USCG Headquarters, Area, District, and Sector levels.
  • Ability to work productively in groups and possess excellent technical writing skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google  Drive productivity tools.
