Branch Assistant-Electronic Communications, (BA-BRIA)
The Recreational Boating Safety Outreach Directorate is seeking candidates for multiple open positions to strengthen our website and other communications projects. Branch Assistants for Electronic Communications will work under the general supervision and Direction of the Branch Chief, Electronic Communications, and, in addition to General Duties, shall be responsible for:
- Assisting with RBS website (B, E, and V Directorates) development and maintenance.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and laws, including all relevant USCG policies.
- Assisting with the creation of new website content.
- Conducting website maintenance, including content and performance maintenance.
- Monitoring and responding to security threats.
- Performing traffic analysis and reporting results.
- Collaborating with others and participating in special projects within the B as needed.
Skills and Qualifications Required:
- Desire and willingness to work in, and be part of, a mutually supportive environment focused on recreational boating safety.
- Desire to create communications tools that positively influence recreational boating safety.
- Strong website maintenance and development skills, including familiarity with website editing tools. A commitment to ongoing development of these skills is essential.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with website end-users and contributors.
