Branch Chief – Webmaster/Help Wanted (BC-WTW)

In addition to General Duties, the Branch Chief, Webmaster/Help Wanted, under the general direction and supervision of the Division Chief, Technical Support, shall have the following responsibilities:

  • Manage all duties and functions as related to the various WEB sites and their content.
  • Contribute creative solutions towards the W Directorate WEB site.
  • Manage all WEB content and digital media with the ultimate goal of marketing the USCG-AUX to prospective and current members.
  • Maintain the Help Wanted postings on the national web site.
  • Accept requests for new postings, ensuring they meet the posting requirements, and posting them to the web.
  • Checking the aging of postings to remove them if they go beyond 120 days.
  • Remove postings when the position is filled.
  • Assist national staff directors and deputies in composing clear help wanted ads.
  • Relay organizational information to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform administrative tasks as requested, report on activities/plans/challenges, and the completion of strategic plans and goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director, Deputy Directors, or Division Chief.
  • Provide a brief monthly activity report to the Division Chief, Technical Support.
  • Provide a more detailed quarterly report to the Division Chief, Technical Support.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • This position prefers a minimum of one year in an immediately lower office, or equivalent professional experience.
  • The BC-WTW should possess an innovative attitude, and the capability to organize and coordinate personnel functions.
